Walk With Cleopas is a clergy renewal initiative offering fully donor funded restorative retreats for Catholic priests, inspired by the Gospel account of the Road to Emmaus. Rooted in prayer, rest, and accompaniment, the initiative exists to support priests by providing time and space away from the demands of ministry for spiritual renewal and vocational clarity.

Not a pilgrimage program

Not a commercial retreat offering

Not a conference or educational event

THE NEED

Many priests today carry significant pastoral, administrative, and emotional responsibilities with limited opportunity for sustained rest or personal renewal. Walk With Cleopas responds to this need by offering a quiet, faithful setting where priests may step away from daily demands and attend to their vocation with care and intention.

Program Approach

Walk With Cleopas retreats are offered in small group settings and follow an unhurried rhythm that integrates daily prayer, periods of rest, personal reflection, and thoughtful engagement with Christian history, sacred art, and religious tradition. The emphasis is not on activity or itinerary, but on presence, accompaniment, and renewal.

All retreats are fully underwritten by the generosity of sponsors and donors so that priests may participate freely, without cost or concern.

Current Stage

Walk With Cleopas is currently in a period of discernment and development. The initiative is exploring appropriate ecclesial partnerships and sponsorship to ensure proper oversight, accountability, and fidelity as it moves forward.
